For this event, we will focus on some of the more common medicinal and psychedelic mushrooms. You will learn where and when certain mushrooms can be found in the world as well as the medicinal properties of each mushroom and how they can be used in your daily life. We will also touch on psychedelic mushroom types and the different benefits they have to offer in these transformative times.
The day will end up an opportunity to craft your own personal wild medicinal mushroom tincture to take home with you.

He spent the last few years wild foraging, making mushroom tinctures and supplying local restaurants with wild ingredients.
Phoenix Ama is a mushroom therapist and cultivator. Hailing from a predominately Indigenous and Chicana background, Phoenix found early inspiration in nature and art. At age 11 Phoenix was diagnosed with depression and later an auto-immune disease at 15. Phoenix sought Western medicine only to be left feeling defeated and helpless with the ongoing battle of severe symptoms, having doctors fail finding a cure or any form of reprieve. By 20, she was introduced to Chinese medicine along with psilocybin, and after 2 months of incorporating this along with a mindful diet, she went into remission. This would begin what now has become a 12 year love affair of personal research and development studying Ayurveda and mushrooms. Fueled by opportunities to travel the world she began studying the ceremonies and cultural architecture that accompanied various cultures and these medicinal practices. Taking notice to the uprise in mental health issues over the pandemic, Phoenix founded másseta, a mushroom and Ayurvedic therapy practice. Creating micro and macro dose programs combining mushrooms with adaptogens and nootropics, Phoenix has made it her mission to help others overcome mental and medical health issues through the medicine that Mother Nature has provided us.
